This beer has a grain bill of Munich, chocolate and dark crystal malts. High mash temps were used to provide full body and a thick mouth feel. It was fermented with a lager yeast strain at ale temperature (known as a “common” or “steam” beer). The result is a nice malt forward beer with a unique flavor.
